Real Weddings: Fabio & Sandra

A couple months ago we celebrated the wedding of my cousin Fabio and his beautiful bride, Sandra.

They began their journey as high school sweethearts and tied the knot ten years later.

For the wedding cake, the couple wanted something romantic. Together, we came up with this 5-tier design topped with dozens of handmade sugar flowers that was inspired by the brides bouquet.

Real Weddings: Sherry & James

I was thrilled when I received a call from Sherry. Although we haven’t spoken in a decade, our relationship dates all the way back to elementary school.

It’s exciting that I had the opportunity to contribute to this moment of my girlfriends life as she celebrates her love with the man of her dreams.

Each tier of this elegant wedding cake is wrapped with links that represent unity - the perfect representation for Sherry and James. The links were hand-painted with 24 carat edible gold and topped with a romantic bouquet of ivory handmade sugar roses.

Congratulations to our beautiful couple.

Something Green

When I think of the colour green, a few key words seem to pop into my head at the same time. Words like fresh, clean, alive, natural beauty.

Words couldn't express Leith any differently. She was the client behind this sweet arrangement.

What I fall in love with each time I design a sweet table, is the natural beauty that tends to grow with the theme. We're no longer thinking, how can we make donuts green to colour match, but instead, keeping things natural and incorporating accents that make a statement.

Green doesn't seem to be a popular colour in wedding themes,  but when it is used correctly, nothing seems better.
